Last blog...before Doha
Yes, U.N.C.L.E. I know. You don't have to remind me that I will be missing out on this weekly "outing" for the next three weeks. And you are seriously stressing me out when you said you look forward to reading this. So, without further ado... here's the blog.
The first thing that caught my eye was the knee guard on Simon's left leg. Too much dancing perhaps, while teaching the PSS contestants how to dance. Then it was Simon's sense of fashion, and his "Who's Singapore's next Top Model?" pose.
Then I thought, maybe it could be about the boys and their fashion sense. There is Remesh and his "bowling shoes" with his Man Utd jersey. Alvin wearing his "Made in China" Chinese jersey, and U.N.C.L.E.'s back to nature mentality (bare his top lah).
Then Remesh collided with Rongming, and Junior commented "Oi! The youngest player on the pitch lang ga the oldest!" But experience does comes with age. Rongming just charged ahead each time he gets the ball, but Remesh actually search for other options.
Johnni has had a two-week break and returned to the pitch with a vengence. Though his intention was clear, his stamina let him down. Simon too, has obviously lost touch as he nearly got the ball stuck along the piping.
U.N.C.L.E., on the other hand, had showed improvements in picking out opportunities at goal. He was quick on the rebound and even had the time to pick his spot before he sent his shot past tall and skinny keeper Daniel.
At the other end, the short and speedy keeper had a rather quiet game. For Raphael, playing in between the sticks is definitely not his forte, as he left his goal unguarded most of the time to challenge Daniel at the other end.
It wasn't long before time was up, and the "referee" a.k.a. Junior blew the whistle. But hey! What happen to "Play to the Whistle"? You guys continue despite the referee's final whistle! RED CARD for all!!
The Media Team made a quick getaway after the game. Some were reluctant to let us go, and comments like "you have seen xxx naked!" Well, Junior responded. "We had two shots of Daniel topless, one of Johnni. As for U.N.C.L.E., every week also naked, no value already!"
